Cool-Therm has helped the Diabetic Retinopathy Screening Service for Wales stay cool in their fight against diabetic-related blindness.

Diabetes is the leading cause of sight loss in people of working age in the UK.  This is due to a complication of diabetes called retinopathy, caused by restricted blood flow to the retina.

The DRSSW recently expanded its research centre, and engaged Cool-Therm (UK) Ltd to install a state-of-the-art VRV system. It was a challenging project - involving running pipe work under ground, entering the building at ground level and rising to the top floor through concrete ceilings. The result, however, exceeded the client’s expectations.
